Welcome

Welcome to my personal website.  I am Economist at Banco de la República, the Central Bank of Colombia, and instructor at Universidad del Rosario.

I obtained my PhD in Economics from the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia in 2018.

My primary research interests are in international trade, labor, development and macroeconomics. Some of my work in progress includes the study of the implications of firm-level factor misallocation for the comparative advantage in an open economy, the origin of the observed income gaps across sectors in developing countries and the consequences of immigrants’ misallocation for the productivity of the host country, among other topics.
